long distance paddling

[definition]:

Long distance paddling involves a continuous withdrawal of time by a paddle, traveling on the water, from place to place.

In long distance paddling, the attention quickly seized towards a single point of reference - listening to the sound of breathing air or the bubbling created as a paddle sliced the water, feeling the rotation of the torso, staring at the sight of the bow cutting through the water, or at the place you have set for yourself to reach.

The mind manifests this state of concentrated attention in various emotional or mental forms, which various paddlers had described, in different time and place, in many or few words, with tears or not, as 'contemplative'; 'meditative'; rhythmic'; 'peace'; 'spiritual'; 'free'; 'love'.

Memories resurfaced, causing feelings of happiness to sadness quickly. Well documented are also feelings of eroticism, possibly due to exhilarated senses of awareness and adrenaline being on unknown water and places.

Singing or making music are common during long distance paddling. This may reflect the slow withdrawal of time, or an expression of unprescribed feelings.

It is not yet verified if long distance paddling is a psychological disorder.

Well described! How about long distance paddling without light? An enhanced form of eroticism and mystery? ;-)
