Rose among the thorns

One day before we leave for Tasik Temenggor, Spunky Mindy answered the "join us if you are free' notice to fellow kayakers. Skeptical that she knew what she was getting into, we asked her a few questions:

What about 'toilet break'?

"I will just jump in and do it in the water, lor."

On the possibility of meeting tigers?

"I want to see them before they are extinct!"

On camping in the wilderness?

"I love sleeping under the stars"

On the 10 hours car journey to reach the lake?

"But we are going to paddle right?"

On 3 guys pushing her to paddle 40km a day?

"Bring it on!"

When did you last paddled?

"10 years ago"

You know you got to carry 20kg of gear and water?

"But that is what everyone is carrying right?"

Is there anything that fazes this girl?
