Singapore Batanes Bridge

There is actually a bridge that links Singapore to Batanes, almost 3,000km away.It spans the continent and great seas, from the high hills of Batan Island to Singapore River.


An invisible one until you really strained your eyes to look, and open your mind to ask. At this instance, you need a few moments of silence and absolute attention. Or you might just missed it. 

A few folding kayakers paddled under this bridge 5 years ago. The first thing that bugs you about the bridge is "its beautiful, its nice, etc". I was one of those paddlers, and yet I failed ask questions about it beyond noting that it was beautiful. A more curious person would have asked: "What is this bridge doing here? And where does it lead to?". 

Without a goal in mind, there are many things that are blind.
