Danau Toba as seen By Mindy

Lake Toba is one of those places where the scenery will struck one as more alike the valleys of New Zealand, than typical SE Asia. As Halim likes to put in, it is "Hobbit country", alluding to the Lord of The Rings panoramic shots of high mountains and wide valleys.

The folds of crater were very pretty indeed. Grassy, in all shades of green, and curvy down to the water. When mositure built up, the clouds hang and glide over these valleys. While one can experience and see this breathtaking scenery, it takes a trained and talented eye to see such works of nature as art.
Mindy, one of the 2 female paddlers on the expedition, and an aspiring photographer has this 'camera eye'. These pictures are how she saw Toba's valleys.
Having recently quitted her day job, she is pursuing her dream to be a photographer. Would you like to support Mindy's dream? Contact her at Mindyshoots@gmail.com
